Recent Hyatt Place Uptown Review: "The hotel was recently renovated and it shows. Our room hand 2 queens as well as a fold out couch. The 42" LCD had DVD hookups on the side so my kids could watch their shows. (Hotel does not have DVD players. You need to bring you own.)The price was great for the size and quality of the room. We have paid a lot more for less elsewhere. The kitchen is open late and it has a decent menu. Great for late night snacks but not for a full dinner. The complimentary breakfast was nice. It was continuously restocked up until it was over. There were only two negatives to our stay. The first is the bathrooms. The rooms are setup with the sink outside the bathroom. So if someone is trying to sleep the light over the sink is shining in their face. The other was more specific to our room. We were located by the rear parking lot, which has extremely bright lights in the lot and the curtains didn't block it all out. Not a big deal if a little light does not bother you, but with little kids, it was an issue."
